Rawda Award for Excellence in Social Work

The Rawda Award for Excellence in Social Work is the first of its kind in Qatar — established to recognise individuals and institutions that have made an outstanding contribution to society. Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, the inaugural edition was hosted at Katara Hall, Raffles Hotel, Doha.

Zoom Arts & Design was entrusted with the complete turnkey delivery of the event — from the very first design line to the final curtain — covering creative direction, design, production, project management, content, programming and the trophy itself.

The creative concept was rooted in the meaning of the award’s name: Rawda, the rich green meadow that thrives where roots run deep. That symbol of growth from origin became the visual language of the entire event. The stage was framed by CNC-cut panels inspired by the roots of trees — a quiet reminder that lasting impact is built from strong foundations. The same idea carried into the trophy itself, which was designed in-house by Zoom: a sculptural piece presented in a custom box, intended to feel as considered as the contribution it honours.

Across the evening, 11 winners were celebrated across 4 categories in front of an audience of 300 invited guests, dignitaries and members of the social-work community. Beyond the ceremony, the project also included a full exhibition design and build, a VVIP Majlis designed and produced from scratch, original videographic content created specifically for the award, and over 500m² of PVC banner branded and installed on-site.

From the trophy in a winner’s hand to the panels behind the stage, every element was conceived, designed and produced under one roof — so that an award created to honour excellence was, itself, delivered with it.

As always, everything was possible.
