Himmah — Private Sector Nationalisation Award Launch

At the request of Qatar’s Ministry of Labour, Zoom Arts & Designs conceived and delivered the full launch of the Himmah Award — Qatar’s dedicated recognition for private sector companies and professionals championing the growth of national talent. Held at the Sheraton Resort and Convention Centre, Doha in February 2026, the event set the stage for an award that will take centre stage in Q4 2026, establishing its identity, its presence, and its gravity from the very first reveal.

Following the arrival of H.E. Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri, Minister of Labour, an opening film was screened before H.E. Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri addressed the audience. The Assistant Undersecretary for National Workforce Affairs then presented a comprehensive overview of the award and formally launched its official digital platform. A moderated panel discussion brought the morning to a close — a programme designed to inform, inspire, and set the tone for what the Himmah Award represents.

At the heart of the event was a launch sequence engineered entirely by Zoom — one of the most technically ambitious reveal moments the team has produced. The trigger: a metal panel placed onto an LED cube. The result: a 100 kW laser fired onto the LED cube, igniting a fully timecoded show sequence — lasers, videographics, a smoke-integrated motorised reveal system — all building to the unveiling of the Himmah trophy, designed and fabricated in-house by Zoom.

The visual environment was anchored by a 40-metre LED screen operating at 14K resolution, for which Zoom produced six minutes of original content under the art direction of the Ministry of Labour’s own team.

The numbers behind the show: a 40 m LED screen at 14K resolution, 6 minutes of original video content, 300 light fixtures, 9 lasers, 3 days of setup, and 1 custom-designed trophy built in-house.

Zoom led design, production, project management, show direction, programming, content design and trophy design — end-to-end. As always, everything was possible.
